The Farm

Tapnell Farm is a family owned business. The family have been in agriculture for over 100 years, owing to a continuous passion to farm sustainably and responsibly.

The farm is home to 500 dairy cows producing over 16,000 litres of wholesome fresh milk every day and spans over 400 acres of grass, woodland and wheat.

We have also planted over thirty acres of native amenity woodland and more than 4km of countryside hedging for the benefit of the wildlife and peoples pleasure. Particularly important, is our Isle of Wight provenance Small Leaf Lime trees. We are lucky enough to be looking after the only group of these trees left on the island and through careful management are increasing their numbers.

The Farm is a fantastic place to explore and learn, so don't forget your wellies.

We have rehomed a number of battery hens at the farm. You are welcome to collect eggs each morning, fresh and delicious ex-battery free range!

'the children especially loved the farm, fresh air and freedom...hours and hours running around completely engaged and content'
