Walking the Wight on your Glamping Holiday

Posted: Sunday 20th January 2013
Walking, is there anything more liberating than doing something that not only is very good for you, but is also free? Something you can do almost any time of any day...anywhere....

The Isle of Wight has become the epicenter for walking holidays in the south of England. Whether it is taking a stroll along one of our coastal paths, heading over the hills to Tennyson's monument, walking from one quaint little pub to the next, or perhaps the challenge of 'Walking The Wight' (East to West) We have it all here, FOR FREE, on the Isle of Wight.

Tom's Eco Lodge is set in a beautiful area of the West Wight and with easy walking reach to various paths and trails. There is even ''The Tapnell Trail' available to do on your own accord, which starts at Tapnell Farm (Where the Eco Lodges are based) and takes you past beaches, fields, cafes and even famous places of interest. They are fun for all the family!

The Isle of Wight council has a great page on walking tips and facts Click Here to see.

Walking in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' such as the Isle of Wight is not only good for you physically, but also mentally.

We at the Eco Lodge are big on walking (especially on a sunday before/or after a huge roast) It doesn't need to be far and it doesn't need to be stressful, even just a stroll along 'Compton Bay' is wonderful for your body and mind, letting the waves wash your cares away.

Here is a downloadable copy of some walks to do on the Island.

Why not book a stay with us May and join in with the Isle of Wight Walking Festival, you can bring the whole family - Even the dogs!
